Archpriest Ioann (Yanis) Terauds

Fr. Ioann (Janis) Arvid Terauds was born on July 13, 1994 in Rostov-on-Don. Married since 2013. He holds a Master of Theology (Department of Biblical Studies, St. Petersburg Theological Academy). On June 15, 2014 he was ordained deacon, and on July 28, 2014 ordained priest, both by Metropolitan Panteleimon of Yaroslavl. From 2014 he served as rector of the Church of the Sign in Yaroslavl. From 2014 to 2023 he headed the Youth Department of the Yaroslavl Diocese. From 2017 to 2023 he taught Dogmatic Theology and Holy Scripture at Yaroslavl Theological Seminary. Since 2019 he has served as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. He regularly participates in the biblical program Covenant and A Priest Answers on the Spas TV channel. Since 2023 he has served as a priest at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Los Angeles.
